Key Points of Maritime Days in Bremerhaven Celebration

Get ready for an unforgettable week as Bremerhaven, Germany, prepares to host the Maritime Days from the 14th to the 18th of August, 2024. This event promises a musical festival like no other, with four stages set against a picturesque backdrop, featuring successful artists and newcomers.

Kick off the festivities on the 14th of August, with performances by Muckezieren at 6:30 PM on the Container Stage, followed by Bjoern Paulsen at 9 PM on the same stage. The Bremerhaven Seamen's Choir will set the mood with their performance at 4:30 PM on the Radio Bremen Stage.

On the 16th of August, British-Simbawean singer-songwriter Kelvin Jones, known for the hit "Call You Home", will take the Radio Bremen Stage at 9 PM.

The charismatic rock/pop singer and songwriter David Pfeffer, who won the second season of "X Factor", will perform on August 17th at 7 PM on the Radio Bremen Stage. Canadian blues singer Layla Zoe, winner of the European Blues Award for "Best Vocalist", will also perform on the 17th at the Radio Bremen Stage.

The musical program includes various genres such as sea shanties, rock 'n' roll, folk rock, funk, pop, soul, blues, jazz, dance, and party music.

In addition to the musical performances, the Maritime Days offers a fireworks display, a pirate village, street food with delicacies from all over the world, and 180 stands on the festival grounds by the Weser.

Over 80 sailing, motor, and steam ships will be presented, with open ship visits offered as a free offer for most visitors. Some of the ships to be displayed include the "Gulden Leeuw", "Pascual Flores", "Nao Victoria", and "Galeón Andalucía".

For a local touch, DJ Cas Paris, born in Bremerhaven, will perform on August 17th at 23:30 on the Container Stage, presenting two new singles live for the first time.

The sporting highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Fischtown Pinguins and the Eisbaeren Bremerhaven teams for the 2024/25 season.
