Hittin' the Reboot: Kesha's Latest Career Chapter Unfolding

Over the past year, Kesha has been all about reinvention, with the launch of her very own label, Kesha Records, and her newfound independence as an artist. Last summer, we caught wind of her debut album under this new banner with the infectious single "Joyride" and shortly after with "Delusional." And this spring, she's kept the hype alive with "Yippee-Ki-Yay" and her latest release, "Boy Crazy."

On the upbeat pop track "Boy Crazy," Kesha croons about her globe-trotting romantic escapades. From Berlin to Bombay, New York to LA, Tokyo to Tahoe, she's got her eyes on the boys. "Bikers and the dumb bros, daddies, and the gym jocks / Prowlin' like a tigress, I wanna get them all alone," she sings. "I'm obsessive, I'm fixatin', I wanna grab 'em all / Fly me out, entertain me / Oh, oh, I'm boy crazy."

Her recent releases have spanned the sonic spectrum, presenting a fusion of her past work from her debut album Animal to the introspective Rainbow and High Road. Expressing her feelings - whatever they may be - is a crucial part of her creative process as a pop star.

"If you're feelin' heated, yeah, you could smash a car window, but for me, if I'm feelin' heated, I head straight for the studio. I'm surrounded by a fantastic crew of folks that help me transform my emotions into music. So, it's become a powerful coping mechanism for me," she shared with Forbes.com last year. "Turnin' the anger into something more positive - like a killer song - allows me to process life's ups and downs. Making art is a healing experience, and I believe that healing can be shared with others too."

Period is due for release on Independence Day, July 4. This album promises to be a testament to Kesha's growth and her exploration of new musical territories.
