Local League leaders shared highlights of their activities from the past year, including their work in public access during the 2025 legislative session. Becky Jones, who is currently the vice president of the LWVKY, discussed this topic during the session.
The LWVKY has been a strong advocate for accessibility in voting procedures and will continue to work towards ensuring that all Kentuckians have equal access to the voting process.
LWV US President Dianna Wynn also spoke to League delegates and members on Saturday, discussing the importance of the LWVKY's work and the role it plays in promoting democracy in Kentucky.
The LWVKY will continue to focus on its mission of educating, registering, and empowering Kentuckians, advocating for full restoration of voting rights, defending and protecting accessible voting procedures, working for government transparency, and working for open primaries.
