Kenny Chesney, the renowned country music artist, has solidified his status as a leading figure in the genre with three of his albums certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). These albums include "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," "When The Sun Goes Down," and his "Greatest Hits" compilation. Each of these albums has sold or streamed the equivalent of five million units.

In addition, "The Road and The Radio" is certified 4× Platinum, representing four million units sold or streamed. These certifications encompass a combination of physical sales, digital sales, and streaming equivalent units, totaling over 105 million certified units across Chesney's entire discography.

The groundbreaking success of "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," released in 2002, makes it one of the biggest country releases of its era. The album was first named gold by the RIAA on June 4, 2002, and went on to achieve double platinum status later in 2002. It only took about two years for the album to hit four-times platinum status, and in July 2025, it advanced to five times platinum status.

Interestingly, "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," "When the Sun Goes Down," and the "Greatest Hits" compilation are the only albums by Kenny Chesney to achieve five-times platinum status. "The Road and the Radio," another quadruple platinum album, adds to Chesney's impressive discography.

The RIAA certifications reflect Chesney's sustained album success and his impactful releases with massive commercial appeal. Twenty of his songs have also received new awards from the RIAA. Recently, "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" earned its first certification from the RIAA in more than two decades, marking a significant milestone in Chesney's career.

The certification by the RIAA means "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" has shifted five million equivalent units. While many of these units were pure purchases, the most recent million were likely streaming activity, reflecting the evolving music industry.

Despite the impressive achievements of these three highest-certified albums, none of them have advanced in several years, suggesting that their rankings could change soon as Chesney continues to release new music and garner widespread acclaim.

Entertainment and music industries celebrate Kenny Chesney's remarkable achievements, with his albums "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," "When The Sun Goes Down," and "Greatest Hits" earning 5x platinum certifications, and "The Road and The Radio" achieving 4x platinum status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). These certifications represent a significant milestone in Chesney's successful discography, totaling over 105 million certified units and solidifying his position as a leading figure in country music.
