The White House, a symbol of American democracy, has undergone a significant transformation during President Donald Trump's tenure, according to US Health Minister Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy, who has known the White House for 65 years, has expressed his delight with the new look of the iconic building. He compared old photographs of the Oval Office and noted that it used to look dreary. Today, the office is the exact opposite, with opulent gold decorations and new artwork dominating the space.

One of the most striking changes is the ivy plant that once adorned the Oval Office's mantelpiece, a gift from the Irish ambassador to the Democrats. Trump had it removed, but another ivy plant, a gift to the White House during the Democrat's tenure, still thrives elsewhere in the building.

At the entrance of the Oval Office, a surprise awaits visitors - a police mugshot of President Trump, taken in a Georgia prison in 2023 following his arrest for attempted election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Outside the Oval Office, the Rose Garden, a famous part of the White House grounds, is undergoing changes. The lawn in the middle is being paved over, as per Trump's plans. The landscaping of the Rose Garden was initiated by Kennedy in the early 1960s, according to the US Park Service.

Two new flagpoles have been installed outside the White House, flying large US flags. This addition, along with the transformed interior, seems to reflect Kennedy's belief that beauty is a symbol of democracy. He further stated that beauty is a testament to the human spirit's freedom through creativity.

It's important to note that during Trump's presidency, there were no widely reported or significant changes made to the White House specifically attributed to his administration. The known infrastructure focus of the Trump administration was the construction and replacement of portions of the Mexico–United States border wall, as well as other policy and budget initiatives, rather than any changes to the White House itself.

Despite this, Kennedy Jr. stands firm in his praise for the current state of the White House, calling it exceptional. His words serve as a testament to the ongoing evolution of this historic building, a symbol of the United States of America.
