Kenan & Kel Reunite for a Frankenstein Horror-Comedy Twist in 2026
Comedy duo Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting for a new horror-comedy film. Titled Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, the project marks their first major collaboration since the 1990s. Both actors have shared their enthusiasm for bringing a fresh twist to a classic monster tale.
Thompson and Mitchell first rose to fame with Kenan & Kel and the cult film Good Burger. Their on-screen chemistry made them a beloved pair in the late '90s. In 2022, they paid tribute to rapper Coolio, who wrote the theme song for their original show, following his death.
The new film follows the duo as delivery drivers whose ordinary night takes a terrifying turn. After encountering Frankenstein’s monster, their shift becomes a desperate fight for survival. Thompson and Mitchell have described the script as a fun, modern take on the legendary creature. Production is scheduled to begin in summer 2026. However, no release date has been announced yet.
Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein will see the comedians return to the screen together after decades apart. The horror-comedy format offers them a chance to blend their signature humour with a classic monster story. Fans will have to wait until at least 2026 for the film’s arrival.
