Kelly Clarkson postpones concerts following her ex-husband's demise.

Kelly Clarkson, the renowned American singer and host, has announced the postponement of several concerts in Las Vegas due to family reasons. The news comes after her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away from cancer at the age of 48.

Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager, was Kelly Clarkson's partner for seven years. They were married from 2013 to 2022 and are the parents of two children, River Rose (11) and Remington Alexander (9).

Starstruck Entertainment, Blackstock's father's company, announced his death on Thursday. Brandon Blackstock had bravely fought cancer for more than three years.

Kelly Clarkson, who gained worldwide fame as a singer and host, has previously spoken about her ex-husband's illness. In the past, she expressed the need to be present for her children due to their father's illness.

The singer's Instagram post was a heartfelt message about her need to be fully present for her children during this difficult time. She stated that she usually keeps her private life out of the public eye, but the situation with her children's father required her to share the news.

Clarkson's Las Vegas concert schedule in July 2025 went ahead as planned, including shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She performed there on July 11 and returned for another weekend of shows around July 18, 2025[1][2]. However, in early August 2025, she announced a postponement of the remainder of her August "Studio Sessions" concerts in Las Vegas[3].

The reason for the postponement was not specified, but it may be related to Brandon Blackstock's passing. Kelly Clarkson apologized to all those who had already bought tickets.

Brandon Blackstock is not only the father of Kelly Clarkson's two children but also has two other children from a previous marriage.

Kelly Clarkson won the first season of the American reality show "American Idol" in 2002, and her career has been thriving ever since. Despite the recent challenges, she continues to be a beacon of strength and resilience for her fans.
