Kelheim District Bolsters School Safety for Darker Months

As the days grow shorter, the Kelheim district has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of its youngest residents. In collaboration with AOK, first-graders have received safety checks to kickstart the 'dark season'.

The 'Bayerische Polizeiverwaltung' (Bavarian Police Administration) has been instrumental in these safety initiatives. They have been working with student guards to train children's marching patrols and school route training for preschoolers.

The Kelheim district traffic safety association recently held its annual meeting, discussing and planning further safety measures. Blind spot training has been provided at elementary schools, and school crossing guards have been trained to ensure safe passage for students.

To enhance visibility, warning tape has been installed at schools and kindergartens as part of the school start actions.

These comprehensive safety measures, involving various local organizations, aim to protect students and preschoolers as they navigate their way to and from school during the darker months. The Kelheim district is committed to maintaining a safe environment for its young residents.
