Kazakhstan's Serpin Way 2.0 Bus Tour Brings Career Guidance to 600,000 Youth

A branded bus carrying a team from a local university has set off from Petropavl as part of the Serpin Way 2.0 initiative. Over the next 23 days, the campaign will tour 14 cities and 16 villages across seven regions to provide career guidance and educational opportunities to young Kazakhs. The project aims to reach over 600,000 people through around 120 events in 30 communities. The tour will focus on promoting 12 dual-degree programmes developed in partnership with the University of Arizona. These programmes form a key part of the national Serpin initiative, which has already helped thousands of young people access higher education and secure jobs in areas with labour shortages.

The team on board will meet with school students, parents, and local officials to discuss university admissions, scholarships, and living conditions. Topics will also cover dormitory life, study requirements, and student organisations. Special attention will be given to explaining the benefits of dual-degree options.

The journey began in Petropavl and will conclude there on April 23. Along the way, the caravan will visit remote communities, ensuring that prospective students from northern regions receive detailed career advice and support. The Serpin Way 2.0 initiative builds on the success of the original Serpin programme by expanding outreach and educational partnerships. With an expected audience of over 600,000, the tour will provide direct access to information about higher education and employment opportunities. The campaign's return to Petropavl on April 23 will mark the end of a three-week effort to connect with young people across Kazakhstan.
