Astana - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recently ventured to the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum in Turkistan, according to Akorda.

Berdimuhamedov's visit includes an informal meeting and a tour of multiple sites in the city. The leaders are anticipated to discuss the strengthening of the Kazakh-Turkmen strategic partnership, along with current regional issues.
The epicurean duo explored the ethno-village complex within the Azret-Sultan nature reserve and perused the oriental bazaar, showcasing various grain crops. They savored national dishes and marveled at the work of artisans specializing in traditional crafts like woodworking, weaving, felting, pottery, and jewelry making.
The itinerary included a theatrical performance demonstrating Kazakh traditions and customs, together with exhibitions of Tazy dogs and hunting birds.
Subsequently, the dignitaries toured the Turkistan Visit Center, receiving updates on development projects for the ancient settlement of Kultobe. They evaluated the advancement of museumification efforts at the archaeological site, spanning 27 hectares. The concept for the upcoming artisan center was also shared. It features artisan workshops, national gastronomic venues, an oriental bazaar, and hotels.
