Kim scored a commendable 209.3900 points, but Britain's Ranjuo Tomblin took the victory with a striking 218.1667 points. Mexico's Diego Villalobos Carrillo came in second with 214.8667 points, and Colombia's Gustavo Sanchez secured the bronze with 210.6292 points.

In the same discipline, other Kazakhstan athletes, Viktor Druzin and Aldiyar Ramazanov, finished in sixth and eighth places respectively. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's Karina Magrupova managed to secure a spot in the top 10 of the women's solo technical program. In the mixed duet technical program, Yasmin Islamova and Aldiyar Ramazanov displayed a fifth-place finish. Lastly, the national team took eighth place in the team technical program.
