In the bustling city of Liverpool, the World Boxing Championships witnessed a remarkable performance from Kazakhstan's boxing team. The team secured multiple medals, with three of its members - Nazym Kyzaybay, Victoria Grafeeva, and Eldana Talipova - claiming podium finishes.

Victoria Grafeeva, a bronze medalist in the lightweight category, had a particularly noteworthy tournament. Her journey was significantly influenced by the advice and support of Gennady Golovkin, a veteran in the sport and a renowned figure in Olympic boxing governance.

Grafeeva's path to the podium was not without challenges. In the semifinals, she faced Brazil's Rebecca Santos, ultimately losing the match. However, Grafeeva's resilience was evident as she bounced back to secure the bronze medal.

Golovkin, a Kazakh professional boxer and former unified middleweight world champion, played a significant role in Grafeeva's experience. Despite not being directly involved in her boxing career, he offered words of encouragement and coaching from afar, which Grafeeva described as invaluable.

Grafeeva expressed her admiration for Golovkin, recognising him as a true master of the boxing craft. She felt a strong sense of support from him throughout the tournament, with his presence between rounds providing a boost of motivation.

Nazym Kyzaybay also had a successful tournament, securing the silver medal in the flyweight category. Eldana Talipova added to Kazakhstan's tally with a bronze in the super heavyweight category.

These podium finishes are a testament to the hard work and dedication of Kazakhstan's boxing team, and a promising sign for the future of boxing in the country. The team's achievements were reported by Liter.kz, via Sports.kz.
