Heavy snowfall and blizzards on February 22 complicated road conditions across Akmola Region, reports our website, citing Polisia.kz.

Amid poor visibility and snowdrifts, patrol units escorted vehicles on February 23, ensuring safe passage along the most hazardous sections of highways.

Over the course of the day, police officers accompanied approximately 2,400 vehicles, including 1,940 passenger cars and 460 trucks.

Law enforcement noted that, despite the challenging conditions, drivers responded with understanding to temporary restrictions and turned to police for escort assistance.
