In the bustling city of Zagreb, Croatia, the World Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling have been a spectacle of athletic prowess and nail-biting competition. Among the many talented competitors, Kazakh wrestler Aidos Sultangali has been making waves.

According to reports from Liter.kz, Sultangali is representing Kazakhstan in the 60 kg weight category. His journey to the gold medal has been nothing short of extraordinary.

In the semifinals, Sultangali found himself trailing against Amiran Shavdatuashvili of Georgia, with a score of 1:2. However, the Kazakh wrestler demonstrated an indomitable spirit, executing two decisive moves near the end of the match to secure a resounding victory with a score of 8:2.

Sultangali's opponent in the final will be a wrestler from Turkey. The National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, along with the Kazakhstan Greco-Roman wrestling team, have confirmed Sultangali's participation in the World Championships.

The victory marks Kazakhstan's fourth medal at the World Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling. Urmatbek Amonov of Uzbekistan also brought home a bronze medal for his country.
