Kazakhstan imposes highway restrictions amid severe November weather

West Kazakhstan Region has implemented traffic restrictions on major highways due to adverse weather conditions. The Atyrau–Oral highway between kilometers 372–492 and the Aktobe–Oral–Russian border route near Syrym checkpoint between kilometers 195–246 are affected. The restrictions, introduced on Friday, November 14, are expected to be lifted at 8:00 a.m. on November 15.

Both public and freight transport are subject to these restrictions. The move aims to ensure safety and prevent accidents during the harsh weather. Authorities have not specified which department introduced the restrictions, but they are working together to monitor the situation and provide updates. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow any alternative routes provided by local authorities.

The traffic restrictions are set to last for approximately 12 hours, ending at 8:00 a.m. on November 15. Drivers are urged to check for updates and follow any instructions given by local authorities to ensure their safety and the smooth flow of traffic.
