Katie Stevens Expresses Enthusiasm for a Bold Type Spinoff Movie

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Katie Stevens, who starred in the Freeform series The Bold Type from 2017 to 2021 alongside Meghann Fahy and Aisha Dee, has expressed her enthusiasm for a potential spinoff movie.

Stevens, who played Jane Sloan in the show, has been vocal about her desire to revisit the Bold Type universe. She mentioned in every interview that she and her co-stars often discuss wanting to do something related to the show again. According to Stevens, they are all "primed and ready to do it."

The Bold Type, which followed a close-knit group of friends working at Scarlet Magazine in New York City, has reportedly continued to resonate with fans years after its finale. Stevens shared that fans of the show have continued to watch it multiple times with their friends.

Stevens believes that fans can help make a Bold Type spinoff happen. She emphasized the need for fans to rally and show their support for the project. However, she has not provided a timeline for the potential spinoff nor is she currently discussing it with any specific streaming service.

In the meantime, Stevens can be seen in Hallmark's Providence Falls trilogy. Despite not being involved in a sci-fi or Marvel or DC production, Stevens mentioned experiencing imposter syndrome at Comic-Con due to not being part of those genres.

Reflecting on the impact of The Bold Type, Stevens expressed gratitude for the fans who have kept its spirit alive. She believes that there should be a Bold Type Hulu original movie or something similar, and she is reportedly pushing for the spinoff to become a reality.
