Kathy (Katherine) Ann Prestwich, a devoted fan of UNM Lobo Basketball and long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by family.
Born as Katherine Ann Sibley on October 22, 1937, in Lidlington, Bedfordshire, England, Kathy was the second child of Amy Lunn Sibley and Joseph William (Bill) Sibley. The Prestwich family moved to Idaho in November 1958, and later settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kathy was married to Kenneth Prestwich on July 6, 1957, in Lidlington. She had a career as a librarian at the LDS Chelwood Ward in Albuquerque and was also a member of the British Brides Club in the city.
A devoted fan of UNM Lobo Basketball, Kathy's love for the sport was evident to all who knew her.
