Kathleen, indeed, is pinpointed by Gleeson as the PGR Oaks objective
Droopys Kathleen Aims for Comeback in The Oaks
After a lengthy layoff due to injuries, Droopys Kathleen, the promising greyhound, is set to make her comeback in the prestigious Premier Greyhound Racing Oaks at Dunstall Park.
The four-night competition, starting on October 3 and concluding on October 24, will mark the return of Droopys Kathleen to the racing circuit. The greyhound, trained by Robert Gleeson, has been restricted to home gallops and a few trials since her injuries.
Droopys Kathleen has a remarkable racing history. She debuted in October last year and won all five of her races. Her most significant victory came in the final of the Puppy Oaks on November 16, where she set a new 525-yard track record at Shelbourne Park.
However, her first season was cut short due to a damaged tendon that required removal. Since then, she has been working hard to regain her form, with a successful recent four-bend private trial at Newbridge.
Trainer Robert Gleeson expresses optimism about Droopys Kathleen's upcoming trial at Dunstall Park. He is excited about the prospect of her competing in the Category One competition, especially as it will be the first such event to be held at the new Arc venue.
The Oaks, advertised for 72 bitches, will offer a £20,000 prize to the winner. It is one of the most prestigious greyhound competitions, and entries will close on Tuesday, September 30.

Droopys Kathleen is owned by Alan Dobbs and is trained by Dylan Browne McMonagle. Her comeback in The Oaks promises to be an exciting event, and racing enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to see if she can regain her form and claim the top prize.
