Kate Middleton Quietly Introduces New Jewelry Piece
During President Donald Trump's State Visit to the UK in February 2025, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, made a stylish statement with her ring stack. The centrepiece of Middleton's new jewellery collection is her 12-carat sapphire engagement ring, a piece that has been a part of the royal family for generations. This iconic ring, originally belonging to Princess Diana, was passed down to Middleton by Prince Charles upon their engagement in 2010. Joining the sapphire ring is a collection of eternity bands. One of these is an unidentified platinum band, while another is believed to be Cartier's Étincelle de Cartier wedding band. Middleton also wore a diamond-and-sapphire eternity band, adding a touch of royal blue to her ensemble. The new ring stack also includes Middleton's Welsh gold wedding band, a tradition that dates back to the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1947. Completing the stack are four eternity bands from the jeweller Kiki McDonough, whose designs Middleton has been known to favour. Middleton was first spotted wearing five rings on her ring finger at the funeral of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, and has been mixing up her ring stack since returning to public duties following her cancer treatment. However, it is unclear if she was wearing her engagement ring during the State Visit in February 2025, as the photos were not clear enough to confirm. Emily Burack, Senior News Editor for Town & Country, has been following Middleton's style evolution closely. Burack, who previously served as the deputy managing editor at Hey Alma, a Jewish culture site, covers a wide range of topics including entertainment, celebrities, and the royals. You can follow Burack on Twitter and Instagram under the handle @emburack. As the Windsor women prepare to wear their finest gowns and tiaras during the visit, Middleton's new ring stack is sure to turn heads. The State Visit promises to be a fashionable affair, and Middleton's ring stack is a testament to her unique and timeless style.
