Prince William's love for motorcycles isn't a new story. His collection includes a Honda Super Blackbird and a Ducati 1198s, dream rides for bike enthusiasts. The issue here is that their eldest son, Prince George, who's now 11, might catch the two-wheel bug soon. But, Kate has made it clear that she's not keen on this. As far back as 2015, she voiced her concerns to the "Daily Mail," admitting: "He still rides them. It always gives me the heebie-jeebies when he goes out on them. I'm terrified."
William's motorcycle passion might also face opposition from King Charles III, who shares her concerns. In 2003, William admitted that his father was worried, but he wasn't interested in being babied. He said, "Motorcycling can be dangerous, but so can many things. You just have to be aware of what you're doing."
However, William seems undeterred, although he occasionally dallies with safer alternatives. Last year, a video surfaced of the prince cruising around Windsor Castle on an electric scooter, a greener and far safer way to get his speed fix.
While it remains a mystery whether Prince George will eventually fall for the thrill of the open road or follow his mother's wishes, one thing's certain - Catherine will go hellbent to shield her son from unnecessary risks.
On a side note, recent reports suggest that Prince George isn't just interested in cars and motorcycles. He's also taken a liking to flying lessons, an activity his parents support as part of the royal tradition. They even joined him during his initial training sessions with an instructor[4].
