Actresses Enchant in Pink - Kate Hudson secures second Oscar nomination 26 years after debut nod
Kate Hudson has earned her second Oscar nomination for Best Actress at the 98th Academy Awards. The ceremony will take place on March 15, 2026, at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre. Earlier this month, she was also honoured at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
On February 13, 2026, Hudson received the Arlington Artist Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Gwyneth Paltrow presented the accolade, marking Hudson as the sole prominent figure recognised that evening.
Both women chose pink for the occasion. Hudson wore a custom-made, dusty rose Louis Vuitton gown that swept the floor. Paltrow opted for a short, pale pink Prada dress with a striking train.
Hudson's latest Oscar nod follows her first nomination 26 years earlier. In 2000, she was recognised for Best Supporting Actress in Almost Famous.
The 98th Academy Awards will celebrate Hudson's return to Oscar contention. Her recent festival honour and high-profile appearance alongside Paltrow have already drawn attention. The ceremony in March will determine whether she takes home the award.
