Karlsruher SC’s Crisis Deepens After Four Straight Losses in 2. Bundesliga

KSC Stuck in No Man's Land - Backing for Eichner - Karlsruher SC’s Crisis Deepens After Four Straight Losses in 2. Bundesliga

The losing streak has exposed serious weaknesses at the back. In their last four matches alone, the side has conceded 13 goals. Striker Fabian Schleusener admitted that too many of these chances were avoidable.

Despite the poor run, head coach Christian Eichner retains the backing of sporting director Mario Eggimann. Eggimann, alongside management spokesperson Michael Becker, oversees the club’s strategic and sporting decisions. Their support for Eichner remains firm, even as results worsen.

The upcoming fixtures offer little respite. Before the winter break, Karlsruher SC faces SC Paderborn at home and then travels to VfL Bochum. Both opponents sit near the top of the table, adding further pressure to a team already in crisis.

The club now sits firmly in mid-table obscurity, with no points gained in over a month. Unless the defence tightens quickly, the next two matches could push them even further from contention. The winter break may arrive too late to salvage their fading playoff hopes.
