Kamala Harris Booked for Interview on 'The Rachel Maddow Show', Marking First Major News Appearance
Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, is set to appear in a major interview on MSNBC's 9 p.m. ET show with Rachel Maddow on September 22. This will mark Harris's first return to the small screen since the election, and her first post-election interview on a late-night talk show.
In July, Harris made her first post-election appearance on CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During that interview, she spoke about her upcoming book, 107 Days, which offers an inside look at what happened behind the scenes of her presidential election campaign last year.
In her book, Harris expresses that the stakes were too high for the decision to be left to an individual's ego or ambition. She also states that it was 'recklessness' for Democrats to leave the decision about President Joe Biden's reelection to an individual's personal decision.
The interview with Maddow will be part of her 9 p.m. ET show, and Maddow has mentioned having roughly 400,000 questions for Harris. Maddow believes that Harris's past statements are helpful in understanding current events, especially given that anything former President Trump has done is not surprising.
Following the MSNBC interview, Harris will appear on The View on September 23. This will be her first appearance on the show since the election.
Harris has also launched a tour for her new book, 107 Days, and has expressed that she does not have an interest in running for governor of California, stating that she thinks the system is broken.
The journalist who is moderating the upcoming major interview series with Kamala Harris is Paul Ronzheimer. The interview promises to be insightful and informative, providing a unique perspective on the political landscape of the United States.
