A new international miniseries, Vanished – Can You Trust Him?, blends love and suspense against the scenic backdrop of southern France. The four-part thriller follows Alice Monroe as she searches for her missing partner, Tom Parker, after his sudden disappearance in Paris. Starring Kaley Cuoco and Sam Claflin, the series has already premiered on MGM+ and Prime Video.
The story begins with Alice and Tom, whose passionate yet unconventional relationship has spanned four years across different countries. Their bond deepens during a trip to Paris—until Tom vanishes without explanation after a mysterious phone call on a train. Left with no answers, Alice launches a desperate search, questioning everything she believed about him.
Filming took place in France from late April to the end of July 2025. The cast includes Karin Viard, Matthias Schweighöfer, Simon Abkarian, and Dar Zuzovsky alongside Cuoco and Claflin. Meanwhile, Alice faces a life-changing decision when offered a prestigious professorship at a U.S. university—a move that could finally allow her and Tom to settle down together.
ARD's latest high-profile series marks another step in its push for internationally focused event productions. So far, streaming rights remain limited to MGM+ and Prime Video, with no additional platforms acquiring the show in other regions.
