JYP Entertainment's The Heat Auditions Hunt for Next K-Pop Stars Globally
JYP Entertainment has launched a global search for young talent through its latest audition programme, The Heat. The company, known for groups like Stray Kids and KickFlip, is looking to form a new boy band. Online submissions opened on Thursday via their official website.
The auditions target boys born between 2008 and 2016. Participants can register until three days before each city's in-person event. So far, the exact number of applicants remains undisclosed as of March 27, 2026.
Live auditions will kick off in Osaka on April 18. The tour then moves to New York and Bangkok on April 25, followed by California on May 2. Tokyo's session is scheduled for May 9, with Sydney hosting on May 16. Melbourne's turn comes on May 23, and the final stop is Seoul on May 31. Successful candidates will train under JYP Entertainment. The programme aims to discover the next big act in the style of Stray Kids or KickFlip.
The audition process spans multiple countries, offering young performers a chance to join one of K-pop's leading labels. Winners will receive professional training and the opportunity to debut as part of a new boy band. Registration deadlines vary by city, with each closing three days before its live event.
