Juvenile, 16 years old, faces charges of attempted murder and arson in connection with restaurant inferno incident
In the heart of Ilford, East London, two significant incidents have recently taken place, leaving the community in shock.
On August 22, a restaurant fire broke out at Indian Aroma in Gants Hill. The blaze, which occurred around 9pm, caused damage to part of the ground floor, as confirmed by the London Fire Brigade. Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.
Sadly, six individuals, three women and three men, were injured in the fire. However, no new information regarding their identities or current conditions has been released.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with a series of offences in relation to the incident. He is accused of attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life, and possession of an offensive weapon. Another boy of the same age has also been charged in connection with the fire.
Meanwhile, a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life on August 24. He was later released on bail.
In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with six counts of attempted murder. No further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding the charges have been disclosed.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the Indian Aroma fire to come forward. As the investigations continue, the community remains vigilant and supportive, hoping for a swift resolution to both cases.
