Justin Bieber Launches Minimalist Clothing Brand SKYLRK
Pop sensation Justin Bieber has entered the fashion world once again, this time with a new minimalist clothing brand named SKYLRK. The brand, which debuted in 2025, blends fashion and sport, particularly football (soccer), with a focus on minimalist, sculptural elements and a sporty, functional aesthetic.
SKYLRK's design language is characterised by pastel tones, clean, simple branding, and a shift away from the more colourful and playful aesthetic of Bieber's previous brand, Drew House. The brand has released cleat-inspired sneakers in pastel pink, cream, and white, alongside football kits branded jointly with adidas Football. These include a light blue jersey and black pants.
SKYLRK also ventures beyond clothing into accessories like eyewear and even furniture design concepts, such as a wavelike wooden bench prototype. This experimental and multi-disciplinary approach sets SKYLRK apart in the fashion industry.
The reception to SKYLRK has been positive, with steady social media teasers from Bieber and close associates generating anticipation and curiosity. The integration with adidas Football adds credibility and cross-market appeal from sport to lifestyle. The aesthetic stays minimalistic yet sporty, emphasizing practical streetwear vibes with clean, modern design cues.
Comparing SKYLRK to other successful minimalist designs, such as the CO_LAB theatre group’s rebrand or the Bold Minimalism trend, SKYLRK distinguishes itself through its blend of minimalism with sportswear functionality and celebrity cachet. While CO_LAB's rebrand and the Bold Minimalism trend focus on minimalist visuals and strong graphics, SKYLRK actively mixes fashion, footwear, accessories, and furniture with a soft, sporty minimalism often seen in athletic streetwear.
However, the Skylrk logo, described as a horizontal nebulous blob, has received mixed reviews. Some find it amorphous and lacking character, while others see it as a bold and unique representation of the brand. Despite this, SKYLRK's multi-disciplinary ambitions and celebrity-driven narrative have positioned it as a modern, evolving minimalist approach interwoven with sport and lifestyle culture, aligning well with contemporary trends.
As SKYLRK continues to grow and evolve, it will be interesting to see how it navigates the intersection of minimalism, sportswear, and celebrity culture.
