Justin Bieber bags a record-breaking $10 million fee for his solo Coachella performance, according to a report
Pop sensation Justin Bieber has made a triumphant return to the music scene with the release of his seventh studio album, "Swag," on July 11. This is the first album drop from Bieber since 2021, marking a significant milestone in his career.
The album, which consists of a whopping 44 tracks, was unveiled as "Swag II" on Sept. 5. The album honours Bieber's personal life, with tracks such as "I Do," "I Think You're Special," and "Mother in You" paying tribute to his relationship with his wife, Hailey Bieber. In the heartfelt ballad "Mother in You," Bieber highlights his one-year-old son, Jack Blues.
Bieber's wife took to Instagram to express her excitement about the new album, posting a comment about its release. Hailey also followed up Bieber's Coachella announcement with lyrics from a song on Instagram, captioning it "IN THE CITAYYY." Bieber celebrated the Coachella announcement by sharing the festival's lineup on his own Instagram account.
The Coachella Music Festival, scheduled for April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19 in Indio, Calif., has announced Bieber as a headliner alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Anyma. According to reports, Bieber secured a $10 million payday for his performance at the festival, with a deal of $5 million per weekend with Goldenvoice, the festival's promoter.
It's worth noting that Bieber hasn't worked with a manager since parting ways with Scooter Braun in 2023. Braun, who managed Bieber for about 15 years, retired from the music industry in 2024. The departure was preceded by a financial dispute between the two, which was related to a loan Braun gave to Bieber in 2022 to pay back part of a $40 million advance given by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) for Bieber's then-canceled "Justice" tour. Bieber settled the dispute in July, paying his company, Hybe, more than $8,806,000.
This move by Bieber to headline Coachella without an agent is a groundbreaking move for a headliner in the music industry. Fans are eagerly awaiting the performances and are excited to see what Bieber has in store for them.
