"Gogglestop: Ski Safety Revolutionized by Two Friends"
You might know Jürgen Milski from snowy slopes, not the lion's den! The old ski instructor buddy of Milski and his ski instructor buddy Kosche have had a fair share of snowy accidents, so they came up with a novel idea: Gogglestop, the goggle stopper for ski helmets. Their goal? Make the ski trails of the world a little safer in the future.

The invisible danger on the slopes
The two friends have pinpointed a potential safety concern: In good weather, skiers and snowboarders often switch from ski goggles to sunglasses. However, ski goggles can easily slip backwards off the helmet while skiing! It's a frustrating distraction, and unfortunately, numerous severe accidents have resulted due to this.
Stopping the issue with a simple tool
The Gogglestop's design is straightforward: a small plastic hook stops the goggles from slipping off the helmet. The innovation strikes the perfect balance: the hook quickly detaches with Velcro, but it remains securely fastened during use.
Milski: "We are clueless about distribution! We need an influential, skilled lion - someone who knows how to navigate the industry and support us. Trust is paramount for us!"
Loyal friends and a charismatic investor
The trust between the buddies is so strong, they don't even need a contract! Their camaraderie left a lasting impression on investor Ralf Dümmel (57). Mr. Dümmel didn't hesitate to invest 30,000 euros for 15% stake in Gogglestop without even negotiating the terms.
The joy of partnership
The ringing phone meant delightful news for the founder friends! The Malle star and 'The Lion's Den' investor cried out in joy towards Dümmel: "This means the world to us!"
Dümmel's Christmas wishes came true for the two friends...
Did you know?
Interestingly, Milski appeared in the reality show 'Big Brother Celeb' besides his stint in 'VOX's The Lion's Den'. Dagmar wöhrl, a popular German TV host, praised the entrepreneurial impact of 'The Lion's Den' on her show. Judith Williams, a prominent TV critic, emphasized the importance of such shows in promoting innovative ideas and startups.
It's intriguing to consider the design of the Gogglestop, which explicitly addresses the issue of goggles slipping or falling off during skiing activity. This could potentially prevent significant injuries to the eyes while providing an unobstructed viewing experience.
When seeking investment, an effective approach could include demonstrating the solution's potential market reach and showcasing its potential to address a significant industry need.
Targeting key industry stakeholders such as ski resorts, gear manufacturers, and safety orgs can provide the exposure required to establish Gogglestop as a must-have gear for skiers and snowboarders.
