Jürgen Fox Resigns as President of Halleschen FC - Jürgen Fox resigns as Hallescher FC president amid leadership shake-up
Jürgen Fox has stepped down as president of Hallescher FC with immediate effect. The decision follows discussions with fellow board members and personal reflection, marking the end of his long-standing involvement with the club.
Fox had held various positions at Hallescher FC over several years, including roles on the supervisory board and as an executive. His departure comes after a period of internal debates focused more on personnel than on the team's athletic performance.
The club had also ended the contract of commercial director Robert Marien earlier, cutting ties at the close of the season. Despite these changes, the remaining board—Andreas Muth, Oliver Kühr, and Christian Brauer—will stay in place to maintain stability until new elections are held. On the pitch, Hallescher FC has shown gradual improvement in recent seasons. After finishing mid-table in the Regionalliga Nordost during 2023/2024, the team's form has strengthened. As of January 2026, they remain competitive in the 2025/2026 campaign, facing opponents like Hertha Zehlendorf. The board emphasised that Fox's resignation was made in the best interests of the club and all involved.
With Fox's exit, the remaining directors will oversee operations until fresh leadership is elected. The club continues its push for stability, both in management and on the field, as the season progresses.
