For Kids and Coaches, an Unforgettable Sports Adventure

Huddled together in a kindergarten, wanting for little more than basic comforts, the kids and their supervisors embarked on an extraordinary journey. Sleeping bags became their beds in a large hall, while a sports field lay just a stone's throw away. Although it wasn't extravagant, the allure of competition drew them in.

The JSG Borth/Millingen teams were readying themselves for a tournament against fellow soccer enthusiasts from Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Unlike their usual games in the Niederrhein football association, the outcomes were officially recorded, and leagues were prepared for the F-juniors. The excitement was tangible as Team 1 of JSG secured a remarkable third place in the tournament's final standings. Meanwhile, their fellow comrades in Team 2 finished a respectable fifth, and Marlon Groß, a standout player, staggered the competition by scoring an impressive nine goals, earning him the top scorer title.

Coaches André Groß and Kevin Carrino, alongside their support staff, were thrilled with the team's performance and wholeheartedly appreciated the organizers for meticulously managing the whole event. The joy and camaraderie that enveloped the tournament left a lasting impact on all the participants, ensuring this unique experience would not soon be forgotten.

During the tournament, Team 1 from JSG Borth/Millingen demonstrated their prowess in football, securing a memorable third place in the standings, even though they were competing against teams from other European leagues like Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, in a tournament held outside their usual Lower Rhine region. Moreover, Team 2 from JSG Borth/Millingen showcased their spirit and skill, finishing in a commendable fifth place, while Marlon Groß, a star player from Team 1, shined brighter than ever, scoring an astounding nine goals and earning the title of the tournament's top scorer in the Champions League for F-juniors.
