In October 2026, audiences will be drawn into a captivating dystopian world with the release of the film adaptation of Juli Zeh's novel "Corpus Delicti". Set in a near future, society is governed by the METHOD, a hyper-medicalized surveillance system that enforces strict health and safety regulations. The story revolves around Mia Holl, a brilliant and independent scientist, played by Hannah Herzsprung, whose life is turned upside down when her brother Moritz is accused of murder. Despite overwhelming evidence, Mia believes in his innocence and embarks on a legal battle to challenge the authoritarian system.

As Mia's struggle unfolds, she encounters distrust from those around her, including her colleague Christiane (played by Haley Louise Jones), her brother's lawyer (Christian Friedel), and a charismatic journalist Kramer (Alexander Fehling). Despite the risks, Mia becomes a symbol of rebellion, sparking a movement for a more humane society.

Directed by Lena Stahl, "Kino" is produced by Leonine Studios and is described as a deeply relevant and emotionally intense adaptation of Juli Zeh's bestseller. Filming for the movie took place in Prague and Berlin between early July and mid-August.
