Judoka from KSC triumphs at Arno-Kroll Memorial Tournament held in Wolgast
The KSC Bushido Hamburg judo team recently returned from an exciting and successful trip to the International Memorial Tournament for Young Judokas in Wolgast, Poland. The tournament, held for the tenth time, featured young judokas from various age groups and clubs.
The team, led by trainer Tobias Schröder, departed on Friday and was joined by team members Linda Geerdts, Jan-Henrik John, Jenna Geerdts, Timofii Bovkun, and Anes Redjepi in Wolgast on Saturday. The young judo talents spent the night before the competition in the town.
In the U11 age group, Jenna Geerdts demonstrated technical diversity and aggression, fighting her way to silver. Timofii Bovkun also advanced to the final but lost and won silver. However, in the U13 age group, Anes Redjepi secured a well-deserved gold after four victories.
Linda Geerdts, who was awarded the Technikerpreis, delivered a standout performance in the U18 age group, securing gold. Jan-Henrik John faced experienced competition but managed to reach silver in his category. Both Linda and Jan-Henrik John showcased excellent throwing techniques and strong performances throughout the tournament.
Jenna Geerdts, Timofii Bovkun, and Anes Redjepi all demonstrated their skills and determination in the competition, making the trip a memorable one for the KSC Bushido Hamburg team.
