Jude Law's daughter denied meeting Chappell Roan in viral hotel clash

An incident involving 11-year-old Ada Law, daughter of actor Jude Law, has sparked a public discussion about celebrity-fan interactions. The event took place days after Lollapalooza in São Paulo, when a security guard reportedly stopped Ada from approaching singer Chappell Roan at a hotel. The situation escalated after a video of the confrontation circulated online, drawing reactions from both the singer and other public figures.

Chappell Roan has since clarified that she was unaware of the incident and that the guard involved was not part of her team. Meanwhile, the security guard, Pascal Duvier, has issued a statement taking full responsibility for his actions.

The incident began when Ada Law, encouraged by her mother Catherine Harding, tried to get closer to Chappell Roan at a hotel. A security guard, later identified as Pascal Duvier, intervened and told Ada not to approach the singer. Duvier has since confirmed he was not part of Roan's personal security team and denied any wrongdoing, though he accepted accountability for his handling of the situation.

In response to the growing attention, Roan posted a video on her Instagram Stories. She stated she had no knowledge of the encounter with Ada and emphasised that she harbours no ill will towards children or fans. Roan also clarified that the guard was likely a hotel employee, not someone under her employ. She expressed sympathy for both the mother and child involved. Separately, Roan was filmed confronting fans outside a restaurant who continued recording her despite her requests to stop. She asked them to leave her alone, and most complied. In one instance, she filmed a persistent fan who refused to show their face. Lionel Richie weighed in on the broader issue, criticising celebrities who mistreat fans. He suggested that those who behave poorly towards supporters are effectively inviting negative attention. His comments came after the video of Ada's encounter gained traction online.

The incident has led to public statements from all parties involved. Chappell Roan maintains she was unaware of the confrontation with Ada Law, while Pascal Duvier has taken responsibility for his actions. The exchange has also prompted wider discussions about how celebrities engage with their fans, particularly in unplanned encounters. No further legal or formal actions have been reported.
