Juaboso Storm Rips Roofs Off Government Offices in Ghana

A heavy rainstorm struck Juaboso in Ghana's Western North Region, causing widespread destruction. Strong winds tore off the roofs of key public offices, including the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the Ghana National Fire Service. No injuries or deaths were reported despite the severe damage.

The storm raged for hours, bringing fierce winds that ripped roofs from several government buildings. Among the worst-hit were the Electoral Commission and the Ghana National Fire Service offices, both left exposed to the elements.

Local authorities responded quickly after the disaster. Dennis Owusu, the Juaboso District Director of NADMO, received alerts about the damage and sent his team to survey the affected areas. Their assessment confirmed the extent of the destruction but found no additional public facilities harmed beyond the two offices.

The storm left critical public services in Juaboso without proper shelter. Repairs will be needed to restore the damaged buildings before normal operations can resume. Officials have not yet announced a timeline for the recovery efforts.
