Josh Silverman Joins Paramount as President of Global Products and Experiences
Josh Silverman has joined Paramount as the president of global products and experiences. Silverman, previously the chief franchise officer at Mattel, will oversee consumer products, live experiences, publishing, partnerships, and e-commerce for physical products at Paramount.
Silverman brings a wealth of experience to his new role. At Mattel, he managed 165 consumer product partnerships and retail tie-ins for the Barbie movie adaptation. Prior to that, he contributed to growing Disney's consumer products business from $37.5 billion to $54 billion in retail sales over a decade.
At Paramount, Silverman will harness the studio's library and creative engines to reach audiences in new and exciting ways. He will work with leaders at key brands like Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon to bring stories to life in innovative formats. His strategic vision and industry experience are expected to drive global growth for Paramount's businesses.
Silverman will report to Paramount President Jeff Shell, who believes Silverman's expertise will strengthen the studio's franchises. Franchises are particularly important to Paramount, which recently merged with Skydance and is interested in acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery. Silverman is excited to collaborate across teams at Paramount to deepen audience connections with brands, franchises, and characters.
