Josh Jacobs attempts to extend his touchdown rushing streak to twelve consecutive games during the Packers' match against the Browns.

The NFL season is heating up, and this weekend, two of the league's best pass rushers go head-to-head as the Cleveland Browns take on the Green Bay Packers.

On one side, All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett has been wreaking havoc for the Browns, leading the league in fewest yards allowed by the defense. However, their offense and special teams have struggled mightily, leaving the team at 0-2 for the first time since 2017, when they became the second team in NFL history to go 0-16.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur describes Garrett as a "game-wrecker," and with good reason. The Browns' defense has been stout, holding opposing ballcarriers to no gain or negative yardage on 10 of 36 designed runs.

Across the field, Green Bay has been cruising. They have yet to trail in either of their games and have built 17-3 leads in wins over Detroit and Washington. Jordan Love, who has not thrown an interception in his last eight regular-season games, has been efficient at the helm.

However, the Packers could be without tight end Tucker Kraft, who hurt his knee in practice and could miss the game. This could increase the playing time for Luke Musgrave.

On offense, the Packers have been running the ball effectively, with a rate of being stuffed on only seven carries, the sixth-lowest in the NFL. On the other hand, the Browns' offense has been a source of concern, with quarterback Joe Flacco responsible for all four of the team's turnovers and struggling with a downfield passing game.

Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees is emphasizing the importance of recognizing the looks that lead to big plays for Flacco. Meanwhile, rookie running back Josh Jacobs could make history if he scores a rushing touchdown in his 12th straight game, including the playoffs.

Jacobs has had more successful seasons in the past, but his best performances seem to have happened before the ongoing 2025 season. Wide receiver Jayden Reed is out with a broken collarbone, which could lead to more opportunities for rookie first-round pick Matthew Golden and third-round selection Savion Williams.

Defensively, the Packers have been solid, with linebacker Micah Parsons contributing 1.5 sacks and tying for fifth with 11 pressures since being acquired.

In the end, this matchup promises to be a thrilling battle between two powerhouse teams. With Garrett and Parsons leading the way, fans can expect a fierce display of pass rushing prowess.
