In an upcoming episode of the Radio Bremen talk show 3nach9, set to air on NDR/Radio Bremen television, hr, and WDR on July 25 at 10:00 PM, Jörg Pilawa will share his extraordinary journey in the media world. The well-known TV star in Germany will discuss his unique bond with his sister, Annette Pilawa, a film producer, and their careers in the industry.
Jörg Pilawa's first foray into radio began as a medical student in his early twenties, thanks to a chance opportunity connected to a peep show. Annette, who played a key role in opening the door to the media world for him, helped him land a job at Radio Schleswig-Holstein.
On his first day of practice, the unexpected happened. He was sent to Hamburg’s Reeperbahn early in the morning to collect sound bites and conduct interviews inside peep shows, which had just been banned there. The sound bites he gathered, including interviews with the scantily clad performers, were critical to landing his job at the radio.
Jörg Pilawa and Annette shared a significant experience during their teenage years: caring for their ill father with a brain tumour. This shared experience brought them closer, but they were not able to discuss their father's death at the time. Jörg and Annette both agree that their father would have been proud of their achievements.
