Jordan Spieth clinches victorious return at Valero Texas Open
After firing a final round 66, Spieth claims the trophy by a two-stroke margin over Charlie Hoffman, ending a strenuous 1,351-day and 83-tournament drought.
The previous success for the ex-World No. 1 came at the 2017 British Open, sealing his third grand slam title.
Given the Masters Tournament is set to commence on Thursday, Spieth's triumph arrives at the perfect moment, with his objective to add a second Augusta National title to his achievements.
"I'm so thankful. It feels even better when I realize I'm back in the winner's circle again," Spieth shared with the press following his Texas victory.
"There were many hard days on the way. I had someone who always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself."

Hoffman, who bagged three consecutive birdies from holes 13 through 16, narrowed the gap between him and Spieth. However, two-under par scores on holes 17 and 18 sealed the victory for the 27-year-old.
Spieth's 12th career title positions him among the likes of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas – making him the only golfer in the past 40 years to achieve at least 100 points prior to turning 28.

The celebrated victory also marked Spieth's first since tying the knot with his wife Anne Verrett.
"I'm grateful for all the people who helped get me back here," Spieth said. "My wife is like a rock for me…Maybe it's been since December, but before that were some tough times. If you're having problems at work, try bringing it home, and see how that goes."
Spieth now joins Dustin Johnson, 2020 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau, and World No. 1 Bryson DeChambeau as favorites for the Augusta National Green Jacket. Jon Rahm celebrated his first fatherhood earlier that weekend.
