Frankfurt's Burkardt out for the rest of the year - Jonathan Burkardt’s season cut short by severe calf injury

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Jonathan Burkardt has been ruled out until the end of January 2026. A calf injury in his left leg forced him off during a Champions League clash with Atalanta Bergamo. The setback means he will miss the remainder of the year.

The incident occurred in Frankfurt’s home game against Atalanta. Burkardt was unable to continue after sustaining the calf strain. Medical assessments later confirmed the severity of the injury.

Burkardt’s injury disrupts Frankfurt’s plans for the rest of 2025. The striker will now focus on rehabilitation before rejoining the squad in 2026. His return date has been set for the final days of January.
