In the thrilling conclusion of the 2025 Grand Tour season, Jonas Vingegaard clinched a historic victory in the Vuelta. His winning bike, a Cervélo S5, was a spectacle to behold, boasting a striking red design that turned heads and caught the eye of spectators.

The bike's transformation began during the race's 9th stage, when Vingegaard switched to a novel red frame for his Team Cervélo S5. The change was not just cosmetic; the new frameset marked a significant improvement in the balance between weight and aerodynamics. This upgrade, combined with the bike's sleek red-walled tyres provided by Vittoria, and a custom red Prologo saddle, gave Vingegaard's bike an F1-like aesthetic.

Reserve, the wheel manufacturer, also contributed to the bike's distinctive look with a special edition of the 57/64 Turbulent Aero wheels. The wheels were adorned with bold red decals on the rims, adding to the bike's vibrant appearance. To round off the bike's design, Prologo's finishing kit provided the final red accents.

The handlebars were fitted with a traditional victory-red bar tape, and a decal reading 'Uno Jonas Uno' was placed at the seat stay junction, symbolising Vingegaard's unique dominance in the Tour de France during the season.

For the final stage of the Vuelta, Vingegaard's bike was painted a glossy red and equipped with SRAM's range-topping RED AXS groupset. The red accents, while considered over the top by some, were loved by others, reflecting the passion and excitement that Vingegaard's victory ignited.

Modern bike racing, including Vingegaard's setup, shares similarities with Formula One in terms of aero frame design and advanced race communications technology. Vingegaard's winning bike, weighing 124 grams less than the outgoing model, is a testament to the relentless pursuit of innovation and performance in the world of cycling.

As the 2025 Grand Tour season draws to a close, Jonas Vingegaard's bike stands as a symbol of his remarkable achievement. Its bold red design, advanced technology, and lightweight construction make it a formidable machine that will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of cyclists.
