John Whaite discloses significant revenue generated through OnlyFans in a year following his departure from the adult-oriented platform
John Whaite, the renowned British baker and TV personality, has announced his departure from the adult content platform OnlyFans. The news comes as Whaite shifts his focus towards his flourishing bakery business, Ruff Puff Bakehouse, and its offshoot, Ruff Puff Brownies.
Whaite first gained national attention when he won The Great British Bake Off in 2012. Since then, he has competed on Strictly Come Dancing and made history as part of the first same-sex male partnership in the show's final in 2021.
In an unexpected turn, Whaite earned a significant portion of his wealth on OnlyFans, amassing two million dollars between 2020 and 2023. However, he has now decided to quit the platform for the second time, citing his new sense of purpose derived from his work at Ruff Puff Bakehouse.
Whaite's decision to leave OnlyFans was prompted by his renewed appreciation for the craft that first set him on his career path. In a short video clip recorded in the seat of a car, he answered a fan's question about his earnings on the platform, stating that he made $270,000 during his 11-month tenure on OnlyFans.
Whaite believes he could have made more money on OnlyFans if he had spent more time marketing his presence on the platform. However, he prefers not to discuss his personal wealth or income publicly and finds more fulfillment working with his team at Ruff Puff Bakehouse.
Despite some speculation about his OnlyFans earnings, Whaite's answer to the question was honest and straightforward. He acknowledged that some people think he made millions from OnlyFans, while others think he made nothing. Regardless, Whaite is now fully committed to his bakery business and is excited about the future of Ruff Puff Bakehouse and Ruff Puff Brownies.
