John Pak's caddie is Billy Narut – learn more about the golf specialist who assists John Pak during tournaments.
Forging a Remarkable Partnership:
Young gun John Pak, now a mainstay on the PGA Tour, has enjoyed a dazzling career post-college, even nabbing the big three awards in 2021. His ascent began with the help of his trusted caddie, Billy Narut, who joined forces with Pak just a year prior.
In the lead-up to the 2020 US Open, Pak enlisted Narut, his best buddy, to carry his bag for the first time. Their bond bloomed as Pak claimed Low Amateur honors, finishing T51st. This taste of success seemed to set the stage for their long-term on-course partnership.[1][2]
When Pak turned professional in June 2021, he and Narut picked up right where they left off. With Narut quitting his job at PGA Tour event sponsor Charles Schwab to become a full-time caddie, the duo was set to conquer the golfing world together.[1]
Speaking to the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024, Pak expressed his gratitude, saying, "It was a no-brainer for me. He'd caddied for me at the US Open in 2020 and I told him 'it's a lonely road. You're traveling week in, week out. It'd be nice to have one of my best friends on the bag.'"[1]
The duo faced a challenging 2022, as Pak lost his Korn Ferry Tour playing rights. However, Narut stayed committed, even working for Andrew Kozan on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023.[1]
Fast forward to 2024, when Pak earned back his status via Q-School, Narut was there once more, carrying his bag. Together, they won the Compliance Solutions Championship. Pak began 2025 as a full member of the PGA Tour, marking a significant milestone in their partnership.[1]
Reflecting on his decision to become a caddie for one of his closest friends, Narut stated, "John is such a hard worker — he's definitely one of the hardest-working guys I've seen out here. It's so much fun to travel all over the place. Plus, I love golf, and I get to live through him as a good golfer and be a part of it."[1]
Their unique bond and unwavering support for each other have undoubtedly played a crucial role in their success on the course.
