Johanna Reichert, the star player of Thüringer HC’s women’s handball team, is leaving the club. The Austrian international will join Gloria Bistrița in Romania for the upcoming season. Her departure follows a standout year in German handball, where she dominated scoring charts across multiple competitions.

Reichert’s exit marks the end of a highly successful spell at Thüringer HC. Last season, she topped the scoring in the German Handball Bundesliga and the EHF European League. She was also named Player of the Season in the women’s league.

Reichert’s transfer to Gloria Bistrița strengthens the Romanian side’s attacking options. Her absence will leave a gap at Thüringer HC, where she was the team’s leading scorer. The move also raises expectations for her return to full fitness ahead of the new season.
