[Overall] This job fair marks a pivotal step for the "Trabaho Para sa Bagong Pilipinas" initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Zamboanga Peninsula, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The objective? To equip former 4Ps beneficiaries with sustainable career paths [Support Services] and support their transition into self-sufficient, tax-paying citizens.

"This event exemplifies our commitment to the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan (Plep) 2023-2028, which aims to nurture an inclusive labor market," said Albert Gutib, DOLE-Zamboanga Peninsula's director. "By offering a vast array of job vacancies, from local and overseas opportunities to HOTS positions, we aim to empower marginalized sectors while supporting the nation's economic growth."

The fair saw the participation of 43 employers, generating 3,198 job vacancies. Impressively, 1,195 of these were local, and 2,003 relevant to the overseas market [Employment Opportunities].

Supporting the evolution of livelihoods, DOLE also announced the cheque turnover under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program Program (Dileep) to the Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (Zabida) Inc.
