Jimmy Kimmel, a television host, has been put on hold following controversial remarks he made about Charlie Kirk, a political figure.

Jimmy Kimmel, a television host born in Brooklyn, New York, has found himself at the centre of a media storm. His late-night talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", which has become one of the longest-running shows in the United States, was suspended indefinitely on September 15, 2020.

The suspension was due to comments Kimmel made about Charlie Kirk, an American activist, on his live show. Kimmel made a monologue on September 15, criticizing the reaction of some conservatives regarding Kirk's death. However, no information was provided about Kirk's death or the MAGA gang's reaction to it.

President Trump, who has been critical of both "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", criticized Kimmel, stating that he had bad ratings and should have been fired a long time ago, and that Kimmel was fired for lack of talent. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under President Trump, specifically Brendan Carr, threatened to take measures against ABC and Disney if they didn't do something about Kimmel's comments on Kirk.

Kimmel started his career in radio and moved to television as a writer and presenter in comedy shows. In 2003, he was chosen by ABC to host a new late-night show, titled "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". The show was broadcast on the ABC network before its suspension and was produced in a studio on Hollywood Boulevard. It had special significance when filmed in Brooklyn, Kimmel's hometown, but the show was primarily aired on ABC.

Meanwhile, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" announced that it will stop broadcasting next year. The reason for the cancellation has not been disclosed.

In a separate incident, Salinas gave its own Grito de Independencia, with a banner that read: "life, property and freedom". The details of this event are not related to the current controversy surrounding Jimmy Kimmel.
