In a surprising turn of events, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has been suspended from ABC following comments he made about the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The suspension was announced by the network on Monday, with Disney making the decision to pause Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely.

The controversy began when Kimmel made a controversial joke about Kirk's death during his show. The comment was seen as attempting to score political points and was met with widespread criticism. FCC chairman Brendan Carr, who became chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in 2017, described Kimmel's comments as "some of the sickest conduct possible."

Local station Nexstar strongly objected to Kimmel's comments and announced that it would preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future. ABC followed suit, indefinitely preempting the show following a furor around Kimmel's comments.

Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, opened his show discussing Kimmel's suspension and expressed concerns about potential censorship. He claimed that they can still say what they want despite the recent events, but he also had a heartfelt message for Kimmel.

During his show, Fallon made jokes about President Trump's appearance and also commented on Kimmel's suspension. He also expressed his support for Trump, going as far as to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon joked about receiving many text messages from his father regarding his show. He also made jokes about President Trump's tie, face color, and hair during his show.

As for Kimmel, it remains to be seen when he will return to the airwaves. In the meantime, Fallon plans to cover President Trump's trip to the UK as usual.
