"I prefer a clean tone with a Twin and a Tube Screamer," Tyrone states. "I like to hear the hands. My dad always said, 'With a Twin and a Tube Screamer, you can take over the world.'"

Carrying the torch for the Vaughan legacy has its challenges, but Tyrone embraces it wholeheartedly. "Right now, it's just a blues thing for me. I'm building something big and have plans for more."

Tyrone fondly recalls the massive impact his uncles had on his musical journey. "Jimmie and Stevie were my biggest influences. Muddy Waters also played a crucial role, giving me a harmonica when I was just three. I owe a lot to these legends and their guidance."

Growing up in the midst of Texas' thriving blues scene, Tyrone wasn't fully aware of the magnitude of what was unfolding around him. "The blues movement in Texas was something special. From Dallas to Austin, its development was staggering, but as a kid, we took it all for granted."

Remembering those Sunday nights when Stevie played for hours with The Cobras, Tyrne admits that it wasn't until he looked back that he realized the significance of what he had witnessed. "Stevie wasn't just trying to outplay Jimmie; he was following him, learning from him, and honing his craft."

Pawnshop Guitars and Memories:

Two of the guitars Tyrone treasures the most are the ones bought for him by Stevie: a pawnshop Harmony guitar and a Fender Musicmaster. "Stevie came to my fifth birthday and gave me the Harmony. He didn't even have a proper gig bag for it, but he was thrilled to have shared the gift with me. He later bought me the Musicmaster."

Recalling the night Stevie told his family he believed Tyrone would become a musician, Tyrone laughs. "Stevie was forever the kid. It was an exciting moment, and his belief and encouragement have stuck with me."

The Heartbreak of a Tragedy:

After a grueling tour with his father in support of Strange Pleasure, Tyrone's life began to change. "It was a wild tour, and my dad showed me some Magic Sam licks and leads. After that tour, I was hooked," Tyrone confesses.

Reflecting on Stevie's sudden departure, Tyrone expresses his regret. "Thank God Stevie got sober. He was on top of his game, and he was ready to take a break and come back stronger. If only that could have happened."
