Prepare for a thrilling tale of heroics on the Rhine! A Jetski rider saves another life... again!
By Pete the Terrific
Let me spin ya a yarn about an average Joe on a Jetski who played the role of a Lifeguard Extraordinaire this midweek in Neuss-Uedesheim.
Enter the River Rhine on a windy Wednesday, and our hero discovered a passenger bobbing unconscious in its churning waters. The fellow had leaped from the Düsseldorf side like a daft dolphin and found himself in the river's middle.
Jetski Rider to the Rescue
Our man on the Jetski secured the floundering swimmer and waved his arms like a mad conductor to draw attention to the commotion. Soon, persistent bystanders noticed the fuss and alerted the authorities.
Emergency responders took over, delivering CPR on the Jetski itself. Our brave bloke made it safely to the shore, breaths fluttering in his lungs, and was whisked off to a hospital for a thorough examination.

Thanks, Emergency Services!
The fire department offered a hearty "Thank you" to our Jetski rider for a job well done. Approximately 45 fire, rescue, police, and water rescue personnel descended on the scene to tackle this emergency. The operation concluded triumphantly after around two hours.
Last weekend, a Jetski rider on the Rhine near Düsseldorf snatched four swimmers from the river's deadly embrace, likely preventing a tragic end for these water-logged wanderers. One of them required additional hospital care.
