Jenny Elvers' Alcohol Relapse Confession
November 5, 2023 marked yet another challenging day for actress Jenny Elvers. According to Bild newspaper, Elvers, 51, was found inebriated behind the wheel of her car in Brandenburg on Halloween. The officers' attention was drawn to her due to her conspicuous parking spot. Alas, Elvers had consumed an alcoholic cocktail in their presence and registered a breath alcohol level of 1.7 per milliliter.

Elvers surrendered her driver's license and car keys, and legal proceedings commenced. A police spokesperson confirmed these developments to Bild. Desiring assistance, Elvers hailed a cab to Berlin's streets.
The actress herself subsequently addressed the incident, acknowledging her past struggles with depression and reliance on alcohol as a coping mechanism. Elvers shared her sentiments on Instagram, expressing regret for her relapse. "I was emotional in the days leading up to October 31. I cried, couldn't muster up the energy to even stand. I sought solace, unfortunately in the wrong place, and consumed alcohol on that one occasion," she penned, further explaining her actions as a desperate attempt to steer clear of her 22-year-old son.
Elvers explained that her doctor, based in Berlin, was her primary point of contact during such instances. Concerned for her son's well-being, Elvers departed from Hamburg, intending to seek assistance in the capital. She admitted that her judgment was impaired, and she pulled off the highway in a bid to rest. Her eventual location caught the eye of the authorities.
Fortunately, Elvers is currently recovering and has since sobered up completely. Her primary challenge remains the management of her depression, which she claims has caused her to turn to alcohol in the past.
Elvers sought solace in entertaining TV shows and alcohol during her departures from sobriety, a coping mechanism which resulted in her recent relapse. Conscious of her actions, Elvers extended her heartfelt apologies to her followers, expressing remorse for her choices.
